Beauty and the Beast returns to the big screen in a spectacular version.

Beauty and the Beast is back in cinemas in a French production, with Vincent Cassel as The Beast and Léa Seydoux in the role of Beauty, a reinterpretation of this classic fairytale from the hand of director and screenwriter Christophe Gans.

With a far cry from earlier versions of the tale of Beauty and the Beast, this version brings fantasy and horror of the starkest kind together in this version of Beauty and the Beast with such a horrible and fascinating Beast, and some minor characters that are terrifying. Although Beauty and the Beast also has its funny moments, and of course, the love story between them that's the key part of the story.

To do this, the script for Beauty and the Beast follows the original story, narrating how a ruined merchant must move to the country with his six children. Among them is Bella, the youngest of his daughters, cheerful, beautiful and full of charm. After an exhausting trip, the merchant discovers the magical domain of the Beast, who condemns him to death for stealing a rose. Feeling responsible for the terrible fate that threatens her family, Bella decides to sacrifice herself in place of her father. That is until, armed with courage, fighting against all dangers and opening her heart, Bella gets to free the Beast from his curse and discover true love.
